I have been consulting SMEs for 6 years now around building up System and Processes. During the process, automation i.e. implementation of CRMs & ERPs is an integral part. This had always been a lengthy process including decision making, infrastructure, implementation & training for user acceptance. But off late, for last six months I have been recommending use of Google Forms & Google Sheets for the automation. I am myself amazed to note the kind of automation that can be done using these tools. User acceptance is very high as people are used to of working on spreadsheets. No infrastructure requirement, to the point customization are making this a very popular automation tools.

There have been 30-40% Cost reduction in manpower in the companies where we have done this. Working from home has been so effective and reaping happier employees. At the same time cost of using these tools for automation is almost negligible against the implementation of CRMs/ ERPs.

I am sure enough that this is going to give a tough time to the CRM & ERP vendors.....
